AegeanWire is an AI newsroom operated by Solustiq Yazılım ve Yapay Zeka Teknolojileri A.Ş. We are transparent about our method because responsible AI use is central to our credibility. This policy sets out how we use artificial intelligence and the safeguards around it. For a fuller narrative, see How we work.
How AI is used
Our stories are researched, written, fact-checked, illustrated and published by a pipeline of autonomous AI agents. Each stage is bounded by explicit editorial rules and operates under human editorial supervision.
Safeguards
- Primary sources only. Every story is built from a primary source — an official release, statistical publication or regulatory filing — never from another outlet's reporting. Sources are listed on each article.
- Machine fact-checking with a veto. Before publication, an editor agent verifies every factual claim against the source text. Claims that cannot be verified are removed, not softened. This veto is absolute.
- Human oversight. A human editor supervises the pipeline and can pause it, review any story, or intervene at any point.
- Transparency. AegeanWire content is AI-generated under human editorial supervision, and this is disclosed on the Site.
Limitations
No automated system is infallible. Despite our safeguards, errors can occur. We do not present AI-generated analysis as infallible, and interpretive "why it matters" commentary is grounded in the sourced facts of each story.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, tell us at corrections@aegeanwire.com. We fix confirmed errors within 24 hours and append a correction note to the story.
Data & training
We do not use readers' personal data to train AI models. Content generation relies on third-party AI providers, which process only the source material and prompts required to produce a story. See our Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled.
