IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has announced the signing of its first voco hotels in Türkiye. The company will bring its premium voco brand to the market with voco Antalya Konyaaltı, developed in partnership with Pınarlar Kurumsal Hizmetler Turizm A.S. The hotel is expected to open in summer 2025.

The 120-room property will be located in the heart of Antalya, a city that attracts millions of tourists annually with its heritage, Mediterranean coastline, and the Taurus Mountains. The hotel will offer a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, a spa, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.

voco is described by IHG as its fastest-growing premium brand, offering a distinct guest experience while maintaining the reliability of a global brand. The signing follows other recent strategic announcements in Türkiye, including the market's first Garner Hotels in Istanbul and the entry of the Vignette Collection with Istanbul Karaköy.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe at IHG, said: "Antalya's rising prominence as a key leisure destination with its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant nightlife have contributed to its increase in tourism. We are strategically positioned to leverage these growth opportunities by bringing the right brands to the locations that travellers desire."

Geels added that with increasing owner and guest appetite for premium brands in Türkiye, IHG is excited to bring voco to the market. As a conversion brand in the premium segment, voco offers a flexible approach to design suitable for conversions, adaptive reuse, and new builds.

Why it matters

The entry of voco into Türkiye signals a strategic push by IHG to expand its premium portfolio in a key leisure destination. Antalya's strong tourism flows provide a solid base for the new property, which is expected to open in the peak summer season of 2025. The brand's conversion-friendly model may appeal to owners looking to reposition existing assets, potentially accelerating IHG's growth in the market. The simultaneous introduction of Garner and Vignette Collection properties in Istanbul indicates a multi-brand approach aimed at capturing different segments of the Turkish travel market.
