Hilton has signed eight new hotels across Turkey, reinforcing its long-standing presence in the country. The properties span multiple brands, including the group’s first cave hotel, and are set to open between late 2025 and early 2027.

The cave hotel, Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, will join Hilton’s Curio Collection. Located in the town of Ortahisar, it will feature 36 rooms carved into the rock and is scheduled to open in late 2025. The property is near Ortahisar Castle, a landmark known as the ‘fairy chimney’.

Also joining a collection brand is Palazzo Donizetti, which will become part of the Tapestry Collection in late 2025. Situated in Istanbul’s Pera district, the 79-room hotel will honour musician Giuseppe Donizetti with a piano in the lobby bar and an Italian-inspired restaurant.

In mid-2026, Hotel Konak Izmir will also join the Tapestry Collection. The 92-room property in Izmir will include a rooftop restaurant and a wellness centre with a sauna and Turkish bath.

Two DoubleTree by Hilton hotels are scheduled to open during 2026: one in Edirne and another in Karsiyaka, a northern district of Izmir. Hilton Garden Inn will add two properties: Hilton Garden Inn Mersin Forum in 2026 and a second hotel in the port city of Samsun in late 2027.

In Midyat, the Hampton by Hilton Mardin Midyat is set to open in early 2027 as the city’s first internationally branded hotel. The 82-room property will offer Hampton’s signature waffle on the breakfast menu.

Meanwhile, the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus is undergoing a USD 80 million renovation, with upgraded rooms already available as the refit continues through 2025.

Why it matters

The eight signings underscore Hilton’s strategy to deepen its footprint in Turkey, a market where it has operated for over 70 years. The inclusion of a cave hotel and properties in secondary cities like Midyat and Samsun signals a push beyond traditional urban and resort destinations. For travel trade professionals, the diverse brand mix—from Curio Collection to Hampton—offers new inventory options across luxury, lifestyle, and midscale segments, potentially attracting different traveller profiles to emerging regions.
