Accor's MGallery Opens 35-Room Kove Hotel & Spa on Mykonos, Rates from €272
Accor's MGallery Hotel Collection has opened Kove Hotel & Spa Mykonos – MGallery Collection, a 35-room boutique property positioned between the Ornos and Korfos coastlines on Mykonos, with opening rates starting from €272 per room per night via all.com.
The property is operated in partnership with the Daktylides family, whose hospitality presence on the island dates to 1979, when George and Elefteria Daktylides established a modest bed and breakfast. The family has since built a multi-property portfolio that has tracked Mykonos's rise as an international luxury destination over more than four decades.
Product and positioning
Located minutes from Mykonos Town, the hotel occupies a site that gives guests access to two contrasting coastal environments: the sheltered, calm waters of Ornos on one side, and the open, wind-shaped horizon of Korfos on the other. The 35 rooms and suites range from minimalist configurations aimed at active island travellers to larger suites with private terraces, Jacuzzis or plunge pools.
Food and beverage centres on eNa, a signature restaurant built around daily sourcing, fresh catch and regional produce. A rooftop terrace overlooking both bays serves as the property's social anchor, particularly at sunset. Wellness is housed in the Cave Spa, a stone-carved facility offering treatments rooted in natural elements and traditional techniques, alongside outdoor yoga and meditation spaces.
The property's signature "M Moment" experience — a concept applied across the MGallery portfolio — takes the form of a private dawn sailing excursion to the ancient island of Delos, guided by a private historian, followed by a Cycladic breakfast by the sea.
Guests access the stay through ALL Accor, the group's loyalty and booking platform.
Greek expansion context
Kove Mykonos is the latest addition to MGallery's expanding Greek footprint. The brand already operates Athens Capital Hotel – MGallery Collection, Athens Capital Suites – MGallery Collection, and NIKO Seaside Resort Crete – MGallery Hotel Collection. The forthcoming Nírema Hotel & Spa Samos – MGallery Collection is also in the pipeline, alongside four further properties including sites in Chania and the wider Athens region.
MGallery's global portfolio currently stands at more than 125 open boutique hotels, with 55 additional properties in development worldwide.
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery Collection & Emblems, described the opening as "a significant milestone… not just in expanding our footprint in Greece, but in deepening our commitment to authentic, story-led hospitality." Marios Daktylides, General Manager at Myconian K Hotels, said the MGallery affiliation would allow the family to "share that perspective more widely, while preserving the character and sense of place."
Why it matters
For tour operators and bedbanks active in the Greek islands, Kove Mykonos represents a new upper-boutique inventory option in one of the Aegean's most commercially resilient markets. The 35-room scale positions it firmly in the high-yield, low-volume segment — a category that commands premium per-night rates and attracts the couples, honeymooners and luxury-seeking international travellers the property explicitly targets.
The Daktylides partnership is commercially significant beyond brand narrative: a family with more than 45 years of on-island operational history brings established supplier networks and local distribution relationships that a new-build independent property would take years to replicate. For Accor, the arrangement accelerates asset-light growth in a destination where land and licensing constraints make greenfield development difficult.
The pipeline of four additional Greek properties — including Chania, a gateway to western Crete — signals that MGallery is treating Greece as a strategic cluster rather than a collection of one-off signings. For hotel investors and developers in the region, that cluster logic may increase the brand's negotiating appeal as a flag for independent or family-owned assets seeking international distribution without full-conversion costs.
